Grandma Doodlebug
Everyone knows someone special. To me, my grandma means everything. Never have I ever met a more selfless and loving person, and I probably never will. As my teacher and confidant, she fills my favorite memories. I must thank her for influencing me in so many positive ways. My Grandma Doodlebug genuinely makes the world a better place. For as long as I can remember, my grandma has preached to me about the Lord. Though I am not a very religious person, my grandma’s teachings always showed me her passion, acting as the best person she possibly can. When she tells me about her favorite verses out of the Bible, she always gives me new insight as to why we should love everyone and not just the people we want. My grandma views the world in a way many people can not see; do not hold a grudge, always forgive, always learn from your experiences, and always trust in the Lord. She always gives and never expects anything in return. My grandma only ever asks for a thank you. In this way, she showed me true generosity and gratitude.

But I have my favorite memories of her. One was when I was 6 we decided to copy one of our favorite tv shows Gladiators. So we put metal folding chairs into a straight line and had two people run back and forth on the chairs. While they throw water balloons at us. It was a Monday night; I remember it like it was yesterday. I had just completed my review of Office Administration in preparation for my final exams. As part of my leisure time, I decided to watch my favorite reality television show, “I love New York,” when the telephone rang. I immediately felt my stomach dropped. The feeling was similar to watching a horror movie reaching its climax. The intensity was swirling in my stomach as if it were the home for the butterflies. My hands began to sweat and I got very nervous. I could not figure out for the life of me why these feelings came around. I lay there on the couch, confused and still, while the rings continued. My dearest mother decided to answer this eerie phone call. As she picked up, I sat straight up. I muted the television in hopes of hearing what the conversation. At approximately three minutes later, the telephone fell from my mother’s hands with her faced drowned in the waves of water coming from her eyes. She cried “Why?” My Grandmother had just died.
Unlike some people, I had a fervent relationship with my grandpa. I have fond memories of him teaching me how to do simple but invaluable things, such as how to tie my shoes, how to fish, and how to shoot a rifle. He was more than my grandfather; he was my best friend.

I am not afraid to admit that every time that I part ways with my grandparents at the end of a visit, I cry. And even now, when she has a slipped disc in her back and is in pain a lot, she never gives up. She may take longer to get places, but she still does things with her friends and family. Spirit : My Grandma, Mildred Johnson, is a true woman of faith. For as far back as I can remember, my Grandma has been a conveyor of the word of God in developing her family and living her daily life. Never would she miss a Sunday to share the word and love of God. As time moves forward not all of God’s children remain strong enough as before to lead his flock. Nor can all of God’s choir continue to sing quite as loudly as they always have. This is the time when the Lord takes them into his hands to rest their souls as he has now done with Mildred. Make no mistake, however, as the legacy of spirit that she has created in all of us will continue to live on.
My aunt had been an important person in my life since I was born. She helped me a lot through rough times and always was there if I needed anything. I could always remember the big family parties we had and she would give me money for a present. She was always nice to me and was a big part in my success at anything I was doing. I even used to call her 2nd mom sometimes.
This lady is the most wonderful person I 've ever met. She is old, affectionate, and intelligent. It took me eighteen years to realize how much this extraordinary person influenced my life. She 's the type of person who charms everyone with her stories and experiences. She always time for her family and friends. She was a women of great faith and was raised in a Catholic Church and community which she passed down. I didn’t really understand her as a kid until I really experienced life then I understood her teachings and trainings. She took religion serious and she made sure everyone of us participated in church. Today I’m thankful because my morals and ethics were built up by her because I followed her steps. My grandma had most of what the “masses” think gives happiness. Her religious life helped her to gain a lifetime virtue and to understand morality. Money was not really a problem for her. I believe poverty could make one lose ethical values. Some people steal because they have no money and stealing is bad, what is bad is bad but in such case they have no choice. She really believed in helping people, even when she can’t afford what someone asked of, she gets herself in debt just to help. My grandma’s town is known to take education really serious and they go to any extent to help sending each other’s kids to school, which became part of my grandma and I respected her a lot for that.
