Personal Narrative: Keeping Up With A Car

I have recently had bad experiences with my vehicle. I have been trying to get it up to par, buying new parts to try and make it run the way it should. I know it’s not a new car and I am well overdue for a upgrade, but I try to save money and do mechanical work for myself, I know I’m a girl, but I believe in my mind that I can make this happen. I have recently changed enough parts for the car to almost buy a better running vehicle. While attempting my seemingly impossible mission, I have realized the hard way that it is impossible to keep up with a car that has never been properly maintained. I do love my Chrysler cause it is a convertible and it’s always nice to put the top down when the Oklahoma weather permits it. But I know now to take better care of older vehicles so I don’t end up in this position again. I encourage anyone who has a love for older style vehicles as I do to do the same because the price of a mechanic is outrageous now days, and doing it yourself is unfortunately way harder than it seems. To maintain a vehicle is much easier to do regularly then to wait until a severe problem occurs, hence the motor mount. So please take my advice and keep a good scheduled maintenance on your vehicle, and maintain it. Because nobody likes opening up their wallet full of hard earned money to fix a problem that could have been easily fixed from the get go. And unfortunately I have learned this myself the hard way, even though I am proud to say I fixed most of my Chrysler Sebring convertibles problems on my own, it is a process that most people do not want to go
