Halloween Shenanigans

Life is sluggish, and when an entertaining moment happens, it is easy to remember it. One such time was when my friend Payton Holm and I went around Royalton on Halloween. A week before Halloween we agreed to go walk in town. On the afternoon of Halloween I went to my Grandma’s house to acquire something to eat for the shenanigans later. Since first grade Payton has been my friend. At 4:30 in my Grandma’s driveway, we would meet up. Walking into the driveway at precisely four twenty, I waited in case he came early. The driveway is dilapidated with some patchy spots. Swaying in the wind, the branches of the white pine rocked. I calmly stood there until I heard something. So we had time to talk more. Dressed up as a British police officer, and I was ready for crime fighting. Just in case some little kids were a little too feisty. At the edge of the nature center, we waited. The air was fresh and the ground moist. The trees swayed in the light winds.

The time is 5:00 and it was getting monotonous, kids nonexistent. Until I noticed a group of kids, walking towards us. With great costumes, the kids walked down the street. They sauntered away quickly, they looked disturbed by our lunatic shrieking of a outlandish phrase from the woods. Payton and I laughed for a solid ten minutes after that, reciting, “Oh Meesa Jar Jar Binks.” By now the time rolled to five thirty, and no kids came by so we could not yell it …show more content…

“It is time to go.” Responding with a ok and Payton and I slowly crept to the door. The door opened with an loud creak, and we slowly pranced out.
Once the area was scanned I told Payton in barely a whisper, “ Come on out here, it is safe.” He just nodded and approached the outside.
We were standing there until Payton suggested, “we should look for him, he is probably still in the area.” Speculating since he did not chase us, I believed that he may be in our hideout by the garden.
Strolling along, we walked and sat on the driveway, “ Payton, we should go the opposite direction. He won’t expect it and we could watch if he is there”. Like a master strategist I am. We walked there to conserve energy, on the way talking about contingency plans in case something went wrong.
What if he charged us, or if he came at us from our flanks? We did not know what to do, so we decided to run again if it came to it. Nearing the corner of the sidewalk, we slowed down the closer we marched to the den of Tyler Stahl. We doubted if he was even there, as he is seemingly an impatient person. Then Payton then claimed to see Tyler sitting in the bushes with his hood up in a poor attempt to hide from
