Overcoming an Obstacle Throughout life people face obstacles, whether they be physical or in their own mind. Some of these challenges are long term and must be worked on over time. Other trials are short term and are easily addressed. Mine had been accepting my limits of what I could do and what I could not. Accepting these limits was not easy for me and took some time to work with. This obstacle of letting go of some opportunities and taking on the ones I could carry was a difficult task, however, I am now able to excel with my opportunities with these limits in mind. This is how overcoming my challenge has changed me.
During this year, I found myself taking on almost every opportunity that came my way. This had caused me to not love the projects as much as I wanted to. I was overworked and found myself not as happy as I could be. I had decided to take on so much work that I was not able to enjoy the work. I love schoolwork and learning as well as participating in extra projects. However, I am very grateful for every opportunity that has come to me.
The challenge that I faced was a mental obstacle for me. I had not come to terms with the human limits that I have. This lead to me becoming unhappy with my learning and projects. I started to say no some projects that I knew I would not have time for. This not only helped give me more time for other projects but for myself. I understood my limits and worked with them all the while pushing them for improvement. I am now able to enjoy learning the way I want to as well as working with extra projects. They give me the purpose that I want while I go through high school.
