The Meyer-Briggs and Jung Typology tests indicate that I am an ISTJ with preferences toward introverted, sensing, thinking, and judging, with a two-letter temperament being a SJ. The introverted preference explains that I am focused internally. The sensing preference explains that I have a propensity to gather information literally using the five senses. The thinking preference explains that I have a sensitivity to “right and wrong” decisions and enjoy following rules. The judging preference explains that I function best in an orderly world, using various tools such as to-do lists to accomplish the very idea of organized. This part of me comes on strongly while at work. I will complete any task deemed necessary, even if I don’t like the task ahead. I experienced the staff was placed at the wrong time of day, so the sensor in me I set about to prove, with (Kroeger & Thuesen, 2002), this idea to be true. I proved a point alright, but in typical judger style, I hit a target I was not shooting for (Kroeger & Thuesen, 2002). The staff change was to bring about entirely new staff members, causing current employees to lose their positions, not rearrange current staff as I had envisioned. In general, I have learned from the personality tests and organizational behavior that everyone in my office comes to the table with different ideas and ways of working, which create a collaborative team that would not be present if we were all rigid ISTJ personalities like me.
