The amount of emotional and physical strength to fight in a war is something I will never comprehend. The amount of determination to win and get revenge was a great factor in the way the war had played out. You could also assume that if the bombing at Pearl Harbor had not happened, we might not have triumphed the way we had. The soldiers who fought in Europe were very similar to the soldiers who fought in Japan. They had no idea what to expect when they landed on foreign soil. The soldiers were in a new territory, did not know much about what to stay away from, and did not know how their bodies would adapt to the new surroundings.
