Description: simulation offers an opportunity for nursing students to practice clinical skills and apply nursing knowledge on standardized patients. On the third immersion day, I felt more prepared when compared to the second simulation. I studied multiple materials and watched online resource videos ahead of time. When it was time to interview the patients, I was ready for it.
The third simulation was designed slightly different than the second simulation. Instead of reviewing the clinical scenarios before meeting the patients, students were given one minute to read patient’s chart just before entering the rooms. The educational goal is to be a Clinical Nurse Leader and I would like to improve patient outcomes from the bedside to macrosystem perspective. By paying more attention to details, I should be able to connect the missing pieces in the patient’s medical history leading to appropriate treatments and superb outcomes. The textbook required for this class will certainly enhance a personal endeavor to achieve educational
