You can become a registered nurse at the basic level with an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree. Some employers may require a bachelor’s degree. You can also have a master’s degree in nursing and work at the advanced level. Most RNs start as staff nurses and can advance to administrative positions. After earning your degree you have to become licensed.

Once you have your RN license you must have 1-2 years of experience. You would want to take the program that is called the Bachelor of Science in nursing known as a (BSN).
