The personality assessment is a measurement technique that measures direct self-reports. It is a multiple choice format (true/false) with specific questions (Cloninger, 2013). The MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) is commonly a psychological test that assesses personality traits. It is used to test people who show signs of mental health or other clinical issues such as depression, paranoia, schizophrenia,etc. There are different versions of the assessment that hold a different number of question (MMPI-2: 567 questions and MMPI-2RF: 338 questions)(Brokaw, 2016). The assessment is often reliable, but may accumulate some advantages. The test taker may not have enough self-knowledge to understand the questions being asked, causing the information to become inaccurate (Cloninger, 2013).

Some people are blind to different (mostly negative) behaviors and actions that occurs within oneself. My own MMPI scores that were conducted on the free test showed characteristics that became shocking, while other traits seemed understandable. To create a more complete assessment of the scenario, the MBTI assessment could have conducted a stronger evaluation on Jane. The MBTI assessment consist of a self-report questionnaire designed to indicate psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions (Cohen, Ornoy, Keren, 2013).
