Mr. Etzioni: School dress code should strictly be enforce. Not having school dress code can distract many kids and it may hurt their learning. It will also restrict kids to not dress inappropriately to their job or in public.

Mr. Szasz: School dress code shames kids by not letting them dress freely. Everyone has their own style and it can not be seen with a dress code policy. Having rules in what a student can and can not wear in school will shame and discriminate students. Enforcing a dress code alters their personality.

Mr. Etzioni: Sir, you fail to understand that without a dress code within schools, we are letting our future generation lack education. The purpose of setting rules on what a student can and cannot wear is not for nothing. It is so kids will not be distracted by how the others dress. Distracting the kids with, perhaps, a profanity covered T-shirt will prevent a student from listening to the teacher. The students now are our future. Say a student, for example, did not follow a dress code policy that day. A lot of schools around the US will, with no hesitation, send a student home. Having a dress code also affects the learning of students. Not by a student’s choice of being distracted. But because the student will be forced to leave campus the student has no choice. This is not fair to the student.We want our kids to feel themselves so they understand the importance of self worth and love. School dress code restricts the students from figuring out how they, as an individual can contribute to the world. It is highly important to have students find out what they like, including how they dress, in order to find a career. They have to find their own likes and dislikes in order to depict what they would love and be happy every day
