Morrisons – Public Limited Company Morrison’s is a well-known company renowned for selling tin foods, fruit and vegetables, fish as well as meat from the butchers. They also do numerous other sub-divisions in the shops such as a café and a deli. Outside their shops they often have petrol stations. They also sell pizzas! Morrison’s is a public limited company(PLC), meaning that the general public can buy shares of the business. I think having this asset, along with an armoury of other items and services dedicated to making our lives easier, is a great thing especially when Morrison’s supermarkets are located in places like the one just down the road on the A638. However, I think the most common type of customers at Morrison's will be middle age people with families. This is because everything they need is at Morrisons. People decide to shop at Morrison's instead of other places because of the vast amount of services that they have to offer. Morrisons simply have an edge of competitors because they just seem to do everything right, from cakes to fish. For example, if hypothetically, if a person wanted to buy a cake, a pound of beef and some toothpaste they could get every single one of those items at Morrison's. This, from a customer's point of view, means that they have to travel to one place, not get cold to get the products that if didn’t go to Morrison's for would take longer and be more frustrating. Not only are all the options inside the shop appealing for customers but outside with the petrol station. Morrison's have kept a steady customer base in their fuelling services by implementing reward cards which entice the customer into believing that at Morrison's if you spend more, you save more.
