Mobile billboard advertising is considered what the OAAA (Outdoor Advertising Association of America) define as OOH (Out of Home) advertising (OAAA, Web).OOH advertising defines advertising that targets consumers that are on the go outside of the home, such as static billboards, banners, semi trailers. The OAAA reported in the fourth quarter, revenues were up 3.5% compared to the same period in 2013, while full-year revenues increased 4.2% to $6.9 billion (OAAA, Web). OAAA claims this is the 15th straight quarter of growth in the OOH realm.
Mobile billboards that can be displayed on truck fleets is an extremely cost effective advertising medium that can target local, regional and national consumers. TSN’s CEO Eric Zdenek says that OOH advertising has an effective CPM rate (cost per thousand ad views). Zdenek claims that an advertising on the side of a semi unit costs about $1 CPM, and that a typical delivery truck receives about 1,000,000 views per month (Prosser, Web). ...lions of consumers. Creative designs can leave lasting impressions. Fleet owners have the added benefit of income, and when paired with a creative marketing design team can help with a carriers brand recognition. New technology makes it an extremely quick process to install and remove. Companies can have their advertising installed in a matter of hours once the design is created using either a vinyl film wrap or using a trailer frame kit. Vinyl wraps can also cover esthetic imperfection due to wear and tear on trailers, another added benefit is that removal takes less than a couple of hours so that companies can do short term or long term ad campaigns. Todays companies competing with online and social media should also consider mobile billboards as they are just as competitive price wise and reach the outdoor consumer that are away or have no access to online media.
In this century, there are too many new technologies such as cars, televisions, computers, video games; and many more are coming before we can catch up. Advertising is as old as civilization itself. They are forever interconnected. If one changes then so does the other. So as our society evolved dramatically by the influence of technology and social media, so did the way we advertised. With the power of technology, advertising gained the ability to be everywhere at once. These locations ranged from billboards, to projector screens that hang from skyscrapers, to even in your homes in the form of commercials. The evolution of advertising in the modern world is both somewhat disturbing and innovative at the same time.
Advertisement can be seen across the world almost anywhere and about anything. Some places where people can find advertisements in the newspapers, in the magazines, and on the web. The use for the advertisement is so businesses can launch their names and products as much as possible, since more and more businesses are in competition against each other. For example, the ad in the Arkansas Wild magazine is supposed to make the business Crain RV stand out to customers. The setting of the advertisement, the colors of the setting, and the design of the logo and words that are used in the business Crain RV’s advertisement would make most people pause on to look at the advertisement.
To Justify why use mass media like Radio and billboards. Being in Poland for a summer vacation taught me a thing or two about business. One would learn about KFC by radio plus street advertisements and billboards, ads on buses, train stations, and parks. With everyone walking and taking public transportation, radio, billboards, and flyers will prove to be the best delivery method in this country. With smartphones, technology is the way to deliver promotional offers to the consumers. Our research will show finding people at train stations that walk around are bound to see billboards and especially leaflets. Leaflets and smartphone apps will be the best methods to reach the consumer that is constantly on the go

There is a saying that beauty is its own reason for being. Preserving the beauties of the open highway is reason enough for wanting to eradicate roadside advertising. Billboards are ugly. Billboards constitute visual clutter that complicates life. At least on the freeway, people should be able to escape the onslaught of mass advertising. How many people will argue that dancing hamburgers plastered on towering steel skeletons are more appealing than an old homestead nestled in the sage hills or a rainstorm over distant mountains? It is interesting to note that some of the most popular destinations in the country are places that have no billboards. States suc...
