Stricter gun laws simply will not work because the law-abiding citizens will be the only ones to follow the rules. When it comes to violence, the stricter gun laws will only help the criminals hurt more innocent people. The reason that I believe this is because during the Prohibition years in the United States people were still able to find alcohol and the government could not do anything about it. Then drugs became a huge problem and the government still has yet to find a way to stop all drugs from reaching consumers. This same exact thing will happen with guns.
People do not join the Army because they were forced, they wanted to protect their country from terrorists and from any threat that wants to harm American citizens. We’ve seen on the news police officers killing innocent people because they are afraid for their lives, so they rather kill whom ever, even
There should be some sort of a barrier to stop mentally ill, disturbed people, or dangerous people from obtaining dangerous weapons. According to Bobby Cervantes, fifty-one percent of the United States population said they did not want assault weapons to be banned. All guns but handguns are unnecessary and can be a threat to the future of our country. Based on my own opinion, I refuse to think that opinion polls about gun control are hundred percent correct due to the fact that many people wouldn’t want to say gun control is ridiculous considering the recent killings of innocent children. Many people are refusing to give up their guns because of the recent killing sprees that have been going on.

However, expensive guns will do little to aid in the safety of Americans. Rather, criminals will be able to easily obtain weapons illegally, and the innocent civilians will be... ... middle of paper ... ... businesses as well. If guns were enforced or banned it would be the same thing, and profits would go through the roof for gangs and other criminals. Instead of trying to enforce gun control laws, the government should team with police and educate people on how to use gun properly and always call police for help. Never try to handle a situation yourself if you know someone will get hurt.
They believe that by doing this, crimes would perish, and the wounds of the victims would mend; but they’re wrong. Gun control would not be an effective solution in making America a better and peaceful place, because guns can still be obtained illegally, it would hurt the American economy, and would strip the rights of the citizens. Gun control would never work, because guns can still be obtained illegally. Even though laws can be made to prevent bad people from obtaining guns, guns are everywhere and it can fall into the wrong hands easily. Jay Watchel, an agent from Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF), said that one o... ... middle of paper ... ...en stop its sales on the market, guns can still be obtained illegally.
If the government takes away the rights of people who are allowed to have firearms in their possession, it will most definitely cause an outrage. Most people believe that the people should be more capable of maintain proper use of the firearms instead of having them all taken away. Taking the firearms from Americans away would cause a lot more problems than there actually are. The people will be upset with the government taking firearms away because of the horrible people who harm innocent people using them. So they will do anything to their capabilities to keep them.
Even if all guns were taken away there would still be violent crimes in America. In the article The Unrealistic Goals of Gun Control, there is an argument that there are several uncontrollable details as flaws in taking away all registered guns. In the U.S., For example, if guns are removed bad people will still find ways to commit crimes with or without guns (Wilson 1). Now it’s ridiculous, in my mind, to not have a moderate view on most things especially this, because either side of the spectrum seems too harsh and closed minded.
