During the Holocaust, Many Jews were being killed because of what they believed. Many people were being forced out of their homes and taken to concentration camps. The Holocaust took place in the late 1930s and early 1940s. The Frank family was just one of the families that was taken from their hiding place and taken to a concentration camp, just like all of the other Jewish families.There were many Historical Events in the Drama Anne Frank that impacted a change in relationship and the change in mood.

In the play it says “Right here in Amsterdam everyday hundreds of Jews disappear...They surround a block and search house by house.Children come home from school to find their parents gone.Hundreds are being deported… They get their call-up notice… come to the Jewish theater on such and such a day and hour...bring only what you can carry in your rucksack.And if you refuse the call-up notice then they come and drag you from your home and ship you off to Mauthausen. The death camp!” (Hackett,130).This text evidence shows the the deep dark information about what actually was happening when the Frank family was in hiding. One other way that the drama shows mood is when Mr.Frankis speaking. It says “ for 2 long years we have lived here, side by side. We have managed to live in peace. Are we now going to throw it all away.”(Hackett,177). This supports the thesis because it shows the the mood in how the characters might have been feeling.
