MBTI Refection My MBTI results from my MBTI Profile, was very informative and closely matched the results I gave myself. The results from my MBTI Profile, were “ISTJ”. The MBTI Profile packet gave me all of the meanings and explanations for my type. “I” meaning introvert (MBTI), fits well with my current life style and situation because I have always been the type of person to enjoy taking time to be by myself. “S” standing for sensing. As stated in the MBTI description, sensing means that I “take in information using through the 5 senses, with a focus on the here and now.” “T” for thinking, is because I make my decisions by analyzing everything and using logic instead of making them based on subject and

Having time to myself is relaxing and gives me time to think about things such as my schedule, to make a list of errands I need to run, or I will just use this time to sit down and relax. Uncertainty and intuition don’t really play a part in my life and usually stress me out when they are present. I dislike not knowing what’s going to happen. I like to have concrete knowledge and facts so that I have a strong and steady foundation to base my decisions. Being the this kind of person has never affected my life in any negative way and now thanks to the MBTI narrative in my profile, I now have a better understanding of how to deal with my stress, and also how keeping organized will help me to succeed. The MBTI gives me me a positive outlook on how to handle my future tasks and says that I handle them well now. As an ISTJ, I tend to do well academically. As the MBTI narrative explains, we ISTJ’s have great attention detail, find comfort in organization, and we take our work seriously which helps us to succeed and do the best we can because we hold our selves very responsible to commitments. I hope to use this insightful information to ensure myself that I if I just keep myself organized and attentive, then I can achieve anything that I put my mind …show more content…
Working at a daycare, I spend most of my time as the only adult in the classroom surrounded by kids. I find this a great environment to work in for the time being, because it provides me with the stability and structure that I enjoy. It is important for children to stick to a strict schedule. They come to daycare in the morning, eat breakfast, have outside play time, come inside for snack, play, eat lunch, nap, eat snack, go back outside to play, then they get picked up by their parents or family members. This daily routine happens everyday. Everything always at the same time. This provides the kids that I work with, with a solid structure. If one thing in their day gets thrown off course, their whole day could be unpredictable. They may end up not taking a nap, be in a bad mood, etc. This an example of why I find sticking to a schedule is important. Having one thing change could mess everything else up. Having a schedule provides a solid state of mind where I can ensure myself that I get everything that I need to get done, done. Even though I’m not going to work at a daycare for the rest of my life, I think that working there is a good fit for the time being. It fits my true personality
The Myers-Briggs profile was based on the test developed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers (“The History of the MTBI assessment”, 2017). There are eight letters that can make up your profile E, N, F, P, I, S, T, and J. “E” stands for extrovert, meaning someone outgoing or social. “N” stands for intuitive, meaning the person goes off of their reasoning or feelings about something. “F” is for feelings, which represent an emotional state or belief about something. “P” is the symbol for perceiving, which means the way you process or take in a certain situation. “I” is for introvert, someone who keeps to themselves. “S” is for sensing, meaning you use common sense. “T” is for thinking, meaning you use your intellect. Finally, “J” is judging, which is making a
When I took the MBTI, some of the things I knew about myself were reinforced, and I also learned some new things about myself and my personality. The four letter code that I received was ISTJ, representing introversion, sensing, thinking, and judging. I expected each of these preferences, and when I read the definition of each, it further strengthened my understanding of what my personality really means in “technical terms.” My four letter code came with titles such as the Duty Fulfiller, the Responsible Realist and the Inspector, names I also agree that pertain to myself. Some of the attributes of an ISTJ personality type include serious and quiet, dependable, well-organized, hard-working, goal-striving, determined, logic-based, orderly, and traditional. If I were asked to describe myself, I would more than likely use nearly all of these terms to do so, which goes to show how accurate this test was, for me at least. But, I also can pick out some challenges that may arise because of the personality type that I am. One example relates to being an introvert, who prefer to focus on one thing at a time.
In my opinion, day care workers have many challenges. The kids ranging from two to
After taking the MBTI Assessment I do not agree with the results. My results showed that I had marginal or no preference of extraversion over introversion. Also, that I have moderate preference of intuition over sensing, moderate preference of feeling over thinking. And moderate preference of judging over perceiving. I did not understand the results regarding extraversion and introversion.
The Myers-Briggs Personality Test shows which of the sixteen personality types a person resembles the closest. The test revealed that I am an ISTJ. Within those categories, I am 28% introvert, 28% sensing, 25% thinking, and 62% judging. By examining each category separate, I will determine what each category says about me and give examples of how each one relates to my personal and work life.
There can be weaknesses because some day care centres for children and young people do not always have enough staff, which can make it difficult for a member of staff to handle them all, plus she may not notice that a child is not itself or behaving different, or is upset and needs attention from the carer, the career working by themselves may not notice this because she is working under pressure.
Earth is populated by billions of people – one person different from the next. While physical traits like fingerprints and DNA give people their individual identity, there is more to identity than physical traits. The experience of tragedy and joy also plays a critical role in giving people their individual identity. Personality is the other factor that separates one person from others, and the personality of an individual depends heavily on his or her beliefs, culture, and the environment in which he or she is raised. There are several different types of personality tests that one can take to identify certain traits of his or her identity, and one of them is the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). According to MBTI and my life experience, as an ISTP I possess an inquisitive mind, an adventuresome spirit, and a desire to be active.
Exploring some of the pro’s about staying home, addressing childcare would sound a bit scary. Although you could never replace the love and nature of a parent or caregiver the aspect of quality care is just as it be if you were home. Daycare provides children the development they need to meet expectations of growth and development. When children attend childcare they are amongst their peers, and will learn many of their motor, social, and emotional development. Being at daycare children learn how to problem solve, learn how to share, and establish friendship. Although that is the highlight of daycare there are some con’s as well such as cost, the quality of staff, and the regulations you have such as pick up and drop up and drop off times. Being a parent that has experienced both sides of the argument I have to say that I am natural with both. Before I had my children I never wanted to be a stay at home mother. My mom was a career mother working in law enforcement and I would always tell her that you are super mom and I will be just like you. Well different things happen and we don’t always get to choose the path after we have
The following information can be found in the “Results and discussion” section: “The analyses reported above show that MBTI items fail to form the factors hypothesized by the test’s authors” (Saggino, Cooper, & Kline, 2001). The information I found in this study complimented the conclusion of the other article I reviewed. They both concluded that the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator had many faults and was not reliable nor valid as far as solid science is concerned.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Test, otherwise known as the MBTI test, is a questionnaire intended to measure and evaluates the psychological preferences of individuals in relation to their perception of the world, and generally their decision making ability. This was developed and got form typological theories that were deduced by Cal Gustav Jung. He categorized them into four psychological functions, which each unique individual uses to experience the world. They include feeling, sensation, intuition and thinking (Myers I. B., 1987).

That is very beneficial because we’ve all been there, laying in bed at night unable to sleep because everything that happens that day chooses then to come flooding into your mind. It sucks but taking time from your day to spend time alone can help prevent those sleepless hours from affecting you. According to a 2014 study from Mercola, “spending time alone can boosts your mood (especially in teens and adolescents) and can have a positive effect on your emotional state”. We all have the problem when life become overwhelming and your mood is just terrible. You feel bad, sad, sick, and so many other things. Many people see alone time as the problem in our lives, when it is actually the solution. As I’ve said multiple times already and will continue to say, alone time is so good for us. So why aren’t we taking the opportunity to enjoy this amazing thing that can help so much in our everyday lives. Spending time alone, whether you are napping, drawing, playing on your phone or simply just laying down in the peaceful quiet can recharge your batteries after a stressful day making it much easier to take on the rest of the day. I personally take the opportunity everyday after school to take ab a hour for myself and either nap or read because school can be stressful. I take alone time before I continue my day; and then when that hour or so is up I go on and start my homework or go to work. I always feel so much better taking a little

for example, if a child feels safe in an environment, they will feel secure and confident and are able to express this. If a child doesn't feel safe their emotional well-being will be at risk. Children learn from their environment, they learn from what is projected around them, the toys that are around to play with, the indoor or outdoor environment they are in, and the people around them, their play friends and the staff. If a staff member is caring and gentle and considerate, responsive and reliable, it will let the children gain a good level of trust and understanding;ultimately a good relationship will form. Children are able to pick up on the moods of those around them, and this can be portrayed in their behavior they display. It is also important for the day to have some form of familiarity and routine. Children need to know what to expect when they go into a setting and what is typical of a day, what teachers are familiar and it be welcoming and nurturing. this means responding in a positive manner and appropriately and providing one on one for every child throughout their
Decision Making Insights. I will be most successful when I have all the information necessary for decision-making, as my dominant cognitive styles are planning and knowing. This approach does not leave room for ambiguity and stifles flexibility and creativity. Consequently, I thrive in established organizations that value hierarchy, procedures, and open communication, because they assist my natural cognitive processes. (Pearson Education, 2016)
