When thinking about music in this time frame I immediately thought of my grandmother and the king of rock and roll. Whenever we entered her house her music would be playing Elvis Presley who sung Love Me Tender. Love me Tender is Elvis first non-rock ballad that captured the hearts of many females. The song is Love me Tender, which was a popular song sung by Elvis Presley and composed by George R. Poulton. Love me Tender was released in 1956.
It was written by Elvis Presley and Vera Matson. Also, this song was adapted from Aura Lee which was written by George Poulton and W.W. Fosdick. The instruments that play throughout the song include guitar, and background singers who enhance the romantic feeling.
This piece is representative

This live performance of “Bless Your Beautiful Hide” by Adam is a confident and arrogant way to find love. In this song Adam explains how he is here to find himself a wife. That’s just what Adam does too. By hearing this song the viewer gets the hint that the play is a love story about him and this beautiful lady that he is staring at. Adam uses his bass voice to keep the tempo moderately constant. The dynamics change throughout the song with a grand finish of a chershendo. Adam uses accents in the song to emphasize his feelings of getting a wife. An orchestra is accompanying him with the instruments like: trumpets, banjos, and trombones. This sets the mood for the story to take place.
The piano plays the main themes, and it was absent from playing before. The piano plays two octaves in the treble register. There is a viola in the background playing a counter melody, which slows towards
'Tender Mercies,'; written by Horton Foote, is a screenplay, which presents to the reader ordinary people, who are trying to live decently in an unpredictable and violent world. The reader comes to be aware of many dramatic scenes where the central characters have come to experience many complex but yet fascinating situations in their lives. Reading this screenplay the reader will come to acknowledge one of the centralized themes in 'Tender Mercies,'; which is the theme of redemption. For those who are unaware of the word, redemption as it applies to the screenplay 'Tender Mercies'; is the literary word meaning to be saved or saving someone from an experience or a situation. The reader can observe this redemption at various times through many characters, such as: Mac, Rosa Lee, Sunny, and Dixie. Each one of these characters has been redeemed by other characters or has been the redeemer of other characters. Thus, in the paragraphs to proceed, the reader will be introduced to these exact characters and to the situations from which these characters were redeemed from or whom they had redeemed. Alongside, the reader will also come to recognize how this theme provides the clearest reason why 'Tender Mercies'; is neither a Tragedy nor Pathos.
He cut his first demo record at what later became known as Sun Studio that and before long, Sam Philips, the record label owner, decided to take the young performer under his wing. With Elvis’ unusual music style, provocative gyrating hips and good looks he drew a grand amount of follower in 1955. A third and final tune that both Ella and Billie performed is “Willow Weep for Me,” with Ella recording it in 1960 on Hello, Love and Billie recording it in 1956 on Lady Sings the Blues. In Ella’s rendition, she again expertly exercises her range, going from highs to lows easily, and still keeping the tempo slow. This song is actually an impressive piece of work for Billie, who utilizes her vocals to the best of her ability, and is able to thoroughly embody the
Presley started to develop a following in 1955 and drew fans to his unusual musical style characterized by good looks and provocative gyrating hips. He also signed a deal with the RCA Records in the same year through his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Presley was on a roll, and scored his first number one single with "Heartbreak Hotel" in 1956 as well as his first number one album "Elvis Presley". As said, Elvis invented Rock ‘n’ Roll, while also bringing together country and western, gospel, old-style rhythm, and blues (Barber 94). He released numerous number one albums including From Elvis in Memphis (Nelson). There was a recording station in Memphis owned by Sam Phillips that Elvis went to to record a song for his mother called “My Happiness” (Nelson). Furthermore, “his first big hit was “Heartbreak Hotel” in 1956, and it was followed by many more, including “Hound Dog” and “Love Me Tender” (Barber 94). A while after Elvis went to the studio to record “My Happiness”, Sam Phillips encouraged him to work with guitarist Scotty Moore and bass player Bill Black to record some songs together (Nelson). Including the many songs named before, Elvis recorded many different songs, improving Rock ‘n’ Roll and many other heavily known song types. Presley was the first Rock ‘n’ Roll superstar that also excelled at other styles and released many
The performance consisted of six different pieces, however the first two songs caught my attention, which included a composition by David Maslanka, “Mother Earth Fanfare.” A very aggressive and progressive selection made especially for wind ensembles. With striking fortissimo and crescendos, this made for an impressionable opening. The next selection was two pieces combined into one performance. The first being a very emotional, “Irish Tune from County Derry”, while ending spiritly with “Shepherd’s Hey.” Both pieces were composed by Percy Aldridge Grainger.
When reading the title, we often associate a love song as something jaunty, pleasureable, and celebrating, or its other extreme, regretting, nostalgic, and full of pity for the singer’s troubles in love. With Williams the singer, the main idea revolves around the concept of an incomplete union in first person point of view, which makes the reading more personal as the reader is using I instead you or he. From this concept stem the ideas that this poem is about hopelessness or happiness, communal sex or masturbation. Delving into history, literary techniques, association with the author, and own opinion of it, there is easily more to it than meets the eye.
The fifth song was a ballad called “Last Night When We Were Young.” This song had a relaxing and romantic sound. It had a steady and constant tempo. The bassist also used the pizzicato technique during his solo in this piece.
1955, Elvis's first sweet heart June Juanico, was the only girl Gladys Presley ever approved of. Elvis noticed June when she was coming out of the ladies room at half time at of one of his shows.

Bringing the woman from behind the man In history, women were looked at as property. They were not given the same rights as men until about thirty to forty years ago. Women began to test the idea of how they were expected to act in the early 1900’s, pushing for reforms for equal rights. F. Scott Fitzgerald’s writing, while lyrical and eloquent, represents quite well the ideals of his time.
