The life of Elvis Presley was fairly simple. He lived in Tupelo, Mississippi with his mom and dad. He became famous when he started making music and dancing. He made many great number one hits. On August 16, 1977 tragedy hit when they found Elvis deceased at his mansion in Graceland, yet still today most people in America are still affected by his death and by his music. Elvis Presley became everywhere including; the radio, the television, and the silver screen. His first film, Love Me Tender, was a box office hit. In 1957 Elvis Presley received a draft notice and in the following march he was inducted into the Army. For about a year and a half he served in Germany. Before he left for Europe, his mother, Gladys, died. Elvis was granted to leaving, to attend the funeral in Memphis. His spirits were lifted slightly when he met Priscilla Beaulieu in Germany while on duty. Presley resumed his career and was soon back on top of the charts, after he left the Army in 1960.
