Nursing has been for many years been limited to carding for the sick and injured but the 21st century has resulted in the nursing profession experiencing several major changes. These changes have also come with the requirement for the nurses to adopt and use additional leadership skill many taken from other professions. Nurse intending to develop their skill and be recognized or classified as leaders must be able to adapt and pick up leaderships skills from other professions thus improving their own skills and ability to manage their profession is a better manner. it must not be forgotten these are the same individuals who are expected to swing in to action during and medical emergency and they are still expected to do so even while using the technologies. A nurse looking to develop leadership skills much is able to perform their clinician skills as well as use the technology to assist they improve treatment and care of the patient. While doing this it’s important to consider adapting the technology and also managing the use of those technologies to ensure high quality services are constantly delivered to the patients. This is important because several nurses have been observed in recent years to misuse the digital technology thus resulting in serious medical flow. For any nurse looking to develop the leadership skills it’s important to carefully manage the technology to deliver benefits to the user and patient and avoid using these technologies for personal communication and entertainment while at work.
