Kudler Fine Foods is a growing and up and coming food store. We have been successful in the past and what to be even more successful as the years go by. Here at Kudler Fine Foods we pride ourselves on our ability to adapt to our customer’s needs. And seeing that this world is constantly changing and expanding, we want to do the same as well yet still keep our integrity intact. We want to maintain our traditions and beliefs while at the same time moving forward and growing our business. I would like to propose change take place to suffice these growing times. I feel that while this company has been doing fine this far, to get ahead and to continue to stay ahead I do recommend that we modify some of our methods. I have created a change plan with all the details listed. This change I am recommending will take place in the sales department. Sales are a huge part of what we do and they must grow as our clientele grows. We want to give them more tools to offer our customers. To start off we have identified areas of concern in the sales department. We are lacking in effective communication skills and customer care, we will need to cover why this change is important, how we will tackle this change, and what we expect to come out of it.
To begin, we have pin pointed several areas of concern. We have received customer complaints that the service is not up to par and they feel that the lack of customer care will lead them to no longer use or store. Seeing as how this will negatively affect our business, we acknowledge this and address it immediately. Customer service is vital in beginning in new clients and keeping old ones. ...a fresh attitude and a positive attitude. We want them to have more communication skills, speaking with customers is something that is day in day out duties. We have to show our customers we care, we care well trained, prepared, and knowledgeable about our products and production. We will have a better understanding of the store, what our demands are, what our goals are and much more. We will also be able to track our success with customer review drop box and the managers will be involved and on the floor with the customers getting their direct feedback. With this system, we can monitor our progress, adjust fire as needed, and determine if this is something we want to implement again in the future (such as making it mandatory for all new hires to participate in the training.) We have everything mapped out and we are looking forward to moving this company forward.
Kudler Fine Foods is a store unlike any in the grocery industry. Kudler Fine Foods represents a store that could possibly spark a new era within the grocery world. The owner of Kudler Fine Foods, Kathy Kudler, has watched her dream of owning and operating a grocery store that specializes in fine quality food grow within a short period of time. The success of Kudler Fine Foods can be attributed to the innovative ideas, effective leadership, and organizational structure. The overall mission of Kudler Fine Food's "is to provide our customers the finest in selected foodstuffs, wines, and related needs in an unparallel consumer environment. Our selections coupled with our experienced, helpful and knowledgeable staff, merge to offer each customer a delightful and pleasing shopping outing" (Apollo Group, 2003). Kudler has managed to maintain its mission statement by providing its customers with the best and as a result the company has flourished. "Kathy considers one of her key responsibilities to be that of identification of new gourmet items that can be offered in her stores (Apollo Group, 2003)." Therefore, Kathy is considering plans to contract with local growers of organic produce to yet obtain the best in quality products for her consumers and take her business to the next step. If Kathy makes the decision to contract with local growers then changes could be introduced into the company's overall structural organization. Each aspect of Kudler Fine Food's organizational structure from basic business process to the supply chain and quality control process will be affected by the formation of a contractual relationship with local organic growers.

I have taken the time to talk with the new and returning customers about the issues. After talking with them, I have decided that the returning customers will give us a clear picture of things that need to be changed. Many say they are having problems with new customers not understanding where to stand. This issue causes new customers to inadvertently cut people in line making the ordering process longer. Focused on guarding their place in line, customers fail to look at the menu; as a result, once they reach the cashier. They are not ready to order. All of these issues lead to long lines and
