King Lear gathered his three daughters and was thinking about giving them his kingdom divided equally. King Lear made each daughter take her chance and to express her love for him, before he can give them a part of the Kingdom. After Goneril's sweet deceiving words of extreme love and loyalty and Reagan's Fancy admiring words, Cordelia’s speech seemed bad. Cordelia said the truth, however she was punished by her father. After Cordelia’s honest words, her father decided to punish her and considered her words as betrayal and hatred. Lear could not believe what his daughter had said this speech and questioned her to mind her words because this can destroy her inheritance and wealth in the future. Codelia experienced marginalization and othering from the “Discrimination theory “ Because her words were out of the main stream, Which is her sister’s sweet words. Lear words explained extreme power and control over his daughters. However his daughters did not dare to interfere with his decisions whether they were good or bad. King Lear character explained absolute power at the beginning of the tragedy, but afterwards his power vanished due to his mistaking
