Recommended: Impact of quality childcare

Most people belive that single parenting will not effect anyone but the people who are in the household or immediate family. That however is not true. Single parenting leads to inaccurate child care. If the child does not receive child care that will benfit them, they have an extremely high risk of partaking in juvenile crime. That could potentionally effect other people who have no relation at all to the family. Juvenile crime is a huge deal becasuse the children that commit the crime are our future and parents need to think about that before making the decision they make.

Infancy is one of the most important part of the child’s life. Accoring to Newman, during infancy, all children’s emotion and intellects are being developed. Stimulations such as, talking, rocking, holding, touching, and showing will help to develop the brain. This will help to lay out the basics for the child for the rest of their life (Newman et al. 42). Without these basics, the child will not learn or feel empathy for anyone, causing juvenile crime to be a big possibility for that child (Morse 33). If the child does not receive proper care or good parenting, later on in life prisons will be a substitute factor for what a parent should have been doing (Morse 33).

Many children with one parent don’t receive the accurate child care that they deserve because a single parent, can’t afford to pay child care by themselves. (Newman et al. 40). Child care is expensive but is very important for children, espcecially at a young age. Millions of children are in child care that isn’t actually giving the positive results, but also damaging them because parents can’t afford quality child care (Newman et al. 46). ...says that there is a counter-story for all of the good things too. Maybe the mother did her best and raise her son well but when he hit his teenage years he became uncontrollable. There are different scenarios for everything. The point isn’t to say that every single child who was only raised by one parent or has been in foster care will commit a crime. It just means that it increases the risk significantly (39).

Inadequate child care and single parenting effects children in many ways. They won’t have the care they need and deserve as a child. When it comes time for them to have a family, they will treat their children the same way they were treated because they don’t know any better. Many parents should stop and rethink their decisions when deciding to have children or maybe to get a divorce. The decisions they make will stick with them for the rest of their lives.
