Jie-Lun Chou
Jie-Lun Chou is a Taiwanese musician born on 18 January 1979. He is also an actor, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and a director. He was born to parents who taught him fine arts. His music career started when he was only four years old. The young boy loved to play piano and to listen to music when alone. Like any other child, he had hobbies, and his was playing basketball (Play it yet 1). However, he never attended college, and, thus, he did not have any good academic records. Jacky Wu, a famous TV host, discovered Jay’s talent and hard work and set his sights on making him a star.
Every star has humble beginnings, and Jay’s case was not an exemption. When starting, he was very shy and not so good looking, which was a disadvantage for him. He had even written songs for people before, but they were rejected. The new manager saw potential in him, and being determined to make him famous, he helped him create his album with his previously rejected songs. Within no time, Jay became recognized, and everyone loved his music. He had a fighting spirit and never gave up despite the rejection.

When acting he intended to show Chinese music to the world and not to show off how famous he is. He received lots of discouragement from all over with people telling him that he could not make it because of his bad English. However, this did not stop him as he was ambitious and determined to try to accomplish his goals. The pressure was too much, but he worked hard at it. He made a lot of efforts to memorize the script and struggled to prove wrong those who looked down on him.
