Most soon-to-be parents would benefit from parenting classes for several reasons. One because they are helpful, second because it gives them skills, third it can make a person more confident. Lastly, I believe parenting classes will make parents feel less stressed overall.
One reason that I believe parenting classes are helpful is because it teaches parents things they might not have known. For example, they would learn how to hold a baby correctly. Not every person knows how important it is to support a baby's head and neck. Another example, would be how to change a baby's diaper. Many people who have not had children do not know the importance of keeping a baby's diaper area clean and dry to prevent diaper rash and fussiness. Next, knowing how to handle a baby who has colic, would be extremely useful. When a parent has fed and changed their baby and the baby is still crying, having taking parenting classes would come in handy. It would make parents feel better having the skills to manage their baby's needs and have more confidence. …show more content…

Having the skills to properly take care of their babies will boost parent's self-confidence, when it comes to caring for their babies and preparing for their future. Next, parents who have had parenting classes would be able to make better and more informed decisions. By taking classes and learning about what stages your baby or child is in, will make a parent secure, equipped, and confident. Also, if a parent shows their children that they themselves our confident, I believe that the chances of that child becoming a confident and self-assured is highly probable. Lastly, parenting classes can make a parent feel a sense of pride, for knowing that having had these classes they are more confident than before they had children and feel less stressed in the years to
