I think your post is interesting, and I take my experience when I started college for the first time. I realized that it was important to understand and use technologies to survive in college, because everything begins to change and needed to use technology to get through the classes and learn a more information. Technology gives us the opportunity to have easy access to search for jobs and directions to gain more knowledge. Based on the Bevel Up video, there are two scenarios featured on the Bevel Up clip. For the first nurse-client pair with the younger guy, let us label them as Nurse-Client A and for the second nurse-client pair with the older guy in a wheelchair, they will be Nurse-Client B. The nursing care situation for both scenarios is taking place in the streets, which means that it is outside of the typical setting inside the clinic or the hospital. To further dissect the interaction that occurred, we will take a closer look at both Nurse-Client pairs.

For my journal entry this week, I will continue to explore my feelings towards the situation that happen last week with my client. After her sister mentioned her parent, my client ran crying to her room. This week, I meet with this client again, the only difference was that I was alone. I thought it was best for me to address what had happened. I told the client that I want her to feel comfortable to the team. This would mean for trigger topics like her parents, to come up in a way that she is comfortable. I told her that we would not talk about that topic until she is ready to talk about it. While when I started talking about it, the client was very quiet. It was almost as if she was about to cry, however she did not. Instead she said that
“Thak you Axumawit for my friend”. It was scribbled and ripped off from her notebook, and next to the message were two stick figures holding their arms together, “Axu” and “Mariam” were written at the top of their oval heads.
Unfortunately, uncomfortable situations within the workplace occur more often than one would think. However, nurse leaders that are comfortable in handling chaos, crucial conversations, and lateral violence are a step above the rest. To start, when working with multiple employees that are all diverse and unique, plus working with those staff members in a constantly changing field is going to be difficult at times. In order to properly handle the chaos and crucial conversations, the nurse leader needs to master dialogue, instead of monologue. In other words, each staff member wants their opinion to be heard so, no matter how different it may be, leaders need to listen to their employees during times of chaos. Furthermore, listening and allowing employees to voice their opinion will allow solutions to be discovered together in order to fix the problem. Often, crucial conversations are uncomfortable for both the nurse leader and employee, but are necessary in order to do what is best for all (Roussel, Thomas, & Harris, 2016).
Interpersonal communication is one of the significant skills while communicating with other individuals. It normally covers an extensive area and includes both verbal and non-verbal communication. Body language and facial expression may affect the accurateness of the message transmission directly. Interpersonal communication skills normally ensure that the message is sent and received correctly without any alteration thus improving the communication efficiency. Learning diverse aspects of interpersonal communication has greatly aided me in better understanding of what it consists. I am capable of applying the knowledge gained from this course to my personal experiences. This paper reflects on my personal experience in learning interpersonal communication.
The first interviewee is a 29 years old man, who originally from India. He is a single graduate student of Murray State University with Information System Major. The purpose of this paper is not to teach you, or to show you how interpersonal communication is essential to everyday life at home or work. But, I am going to do my best to at least show you how essential communication skills are in all areas of life by using me as the example.
