There are many spoken languages in the world, but English is the most popular which is used worldwide. According to the data from the Worldatlas website, over thirty countries, such as United Kingdom, United States, Singapore, and Australia, use English as the primary language. (http://www.worldatlas.com.) It proves that how English is important for us in everyday life, study, even in business. In addition, there are many students from several places, so their ability of English must be measured by taking the standardized test, such as TOEIC. Nowadays, many leading organizations use TOEIC’s score as one of their criteria. And, Educational Testing Service (ETS) claims that fourteen thousand companies use the TOEIC in one hundred and a half countries. (https://learningenglish.voanews.com.) As the TOEIC is necessary, many universities in Thailand, such as Kasertsart University (KU), Khon Kean University (KKU), and Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University, force their students to take the TOEIC test for use the score when they graduate.
