Architecture relates to the spirit of a place, an environment where man engages in his daily activities. The tactile and sensory nature of architecture enables man to integrate with the built environment physically, psychologically and visually. Spirituality and architecture are interlinked where different elements come together to create a wholesome and nurturing environment. The elements mentioned being - light, sound, air, water bodies, green landscape.

This brings us to the what is spirituality?
Spirituality is a path or belief undertaken by an individual to develop their inner and divine qualities to attain calm and bliss in life. Spirituality is open at all cultures and people of all communities are welcomed to join on the path of exploration. Thus, spiritual architecture serves the wider community in that all cultures come together at one place to conduct spiritual practices.

In the population of 20.7 million people, Mumbai houses people of various cultures and backgrounds with more coming in everyday as the city continues to grow.
