Immunotherapy Argumentative Paper

Immunotherapy the hot topic of cancer research and treatment for immune cancer. Treatment is for the immune system, it's made to attack the invaders of the immune system. Anything that the treatment see’s as a threat to the growth of the cancerous tumor it is designed to attack. With this new treatment there has been an uproar with pro’s and con’s on what happens to patients( Side effects) that use this new treatment called immunotherapy.
There are many different types of immunotherapy and depending on the type of treatment, various side effects can arise as a result of using immunotherapy. Different side effects like flu-like symptoms, muscle aches, fever, appetite loss, weakness, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. According to the American Cancer Society “Out of the common side effects there are worse effects in some cases some people develop rashes and some people bruise or bleed easily.” These side effects are generally short-term, but patients may need to stay in hospital if they develop severe problems. Any new substance that the immune system doesn’t recognize raises an alarm, causing the immune system to attack it.” says the Cancer Society. often times the immune system attacks at foreign cells like cancerous cells but it doesn't always succeed. This is when immunotherapy comes in attacking cells that can potentially speed up the process of the tumor. Immunotherapy is designed to boost the immune system generally, while others help train the immune response to specifically target cancer cells.
