If a cloned person gets in trouble with the law, are they given the same punishment as a human? Fifteen states in America have laws concerning cloning of humans. This problem was brought to attention by California legislature, who were the first to ban reproductive cloning, then they were followed by fourteen other states which includes New Jersey. (Stefano). Many issues have came up, but one of the biggest issues are who should be responsible for the oversight and accountability of the clone. Cloning brought low success rates when scientists tried to clone a human. Human clones have many flaws that scientists are still trying to correct. When parents try to clone children, sometimes their parental expectations are disappointed because the genome does not always transport the desired talent. Children who are cloned sometimes develop a different personality than what the donor wanted. People expect the clones to be perfect but they're not because of scientific issues. When the clone children grow up they start to develop desolate personalities. Desolate is when people are in the state of bleak and dismissal emptiness. If a random individual were asked twenty years ago if he/she believed that science could clone an animal, most would have given a weird look and responded, “Are you kidding me?” However, that once crazy idea has now become a reality, and with this reality, has come debate after debate about the ethics and morality of cloning. Yet technology has not stopped with just the cloning of animals, but now many scientists are contemplating and are trying to find successful ways to clone human individuals. This idea of human cloning has fueled debate not just in the United States, but also with countries all over the world. I believe that it is not morally and ethically right to clone humans. Even though technology is constantly advancing, it is not reasonable to believe that human cloning is morally and ethically correct, due to the killing of human embryos, the unsafe process of cloning, and the resulting consequences of having deformed clones.

First, what exactly is cloning? In biology, cloning is used in two contexts: cloning a gene, or cloning an organism. Cloning is the reproduction of a human or animal whose genetic substance is identical to an existing being, such as an embryo or fetus. This is reproductive. Cloning a gene means to extract a gene from one organism and insert it into a second organism. Cloning an organism means to create a new organism with the same genetic information as an existing one.
