In the late 1500’s the thought of a play or drama was changed forever. This new profound awaking was brought about by one of the most recognizable figures in history. Not much is known about this very person, but his name will forever be great and his legacy even greater. This person is William Shakespeare.
Though no birth records exist on William Shakespeare, there are church records that indicate that a William Shakespeare was baptized at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon on April 26, 1564. Scholars now recognize April 23rd as the birthday of William.

This style was based on elaborate metaphors and rhetorical phrases; however, they did not always match up with the stories plot. Shakespeare was known for being very innovative. He would change the traditional style to his own purposes in order to create a free flowing of words. In 1597, 15 of the 37 plays written by William Shakespeare were already published. This crazy success allowed him to purchase the second largest house in Stratford. He called this house: The New House. London was about a four- day ride on horseback form Stratford, Shakespeare spent most of his time in the city writing and acting.
