His first job with Richard Burbage's men was as an osler; next an actor. No one knows what he was doing during 1585-1592. By 1592 he had become known in London as an actor and playwright; his rise was rapid. Queen Elizabeth 1 supported the arts and the theater. In 1592 a plague closed the theaters(Shakespeare wrote poetry during this time to support himself).

Very little is known about Shakespeare’s education. We know that the King’s New Grammar School taught boys basic reading and writing. We assume William attended this school since it existed to educate the sons of Stratford but we have no definite proof. In 1582 William got married. A bond certificate dated November the 28th, 1582, reveals that an eighteen year old William married the twenty-six and pregnant Anne Hathaway.
Susanna was the eldest child and she didn’t have any education, she married John Hall in 1607 and they got one daughter and named her Elizabeth. Hammet was the only son of William Shakespeare, he died at age eleven and the cause was unknown. Judith is the youngest daughter of William Shakespeare and she married Thomas Quiney and had three children. Shakespeare went to London between 1585 and 1592 and began to establish himself as an actor and playwright and his plays were performed only by the Lord Chamberlain’s Men and later the name was changed to King’s Men. Between 1589 and 1592 Shakespeare established his career and begins to make a name for him.
Anne was seven or eight years older than him and was three months pregnant at the time of their marriage. Their first child together, Susanna, was born on May 26, 1583. Two years after that, Hamnet and Judith were born together. Shakespeare and his family most likely lived in the house on Henley Street. In 1592, Shakespeare's theater career took off.

From baptism records, we know William's father was a John Shakespeare, said to be a town official of Stratford and a local businessman who dabbled in tanning, leatherwork and whittawering which is working with white leather to make items like purses and gloves. John also dealt in grain and sometimes was described as a glover by trade.
