Do you want to go blind? Do you want to lose your leg? Because this is going to happen to you if you keep eating fast food. I hate fast food. This is because it causes numerous illnesses and all through people choosing to eat it. Each day, 1 in 4 Americans visits a fast food restaurant. In 1972, we spent 3 billion a year on fast food – today we spend more than $110 billion. McDonalds’ feeds more than 46 million people a day – more than the entire population of Spain. French fries are the most eaten vegetable in America. If we keep going through this every day, this will cause a health crisis.Many people eat fast food even though it is unhealthy because it is tasty, mouth-watering and a fast service. They do not have to wait for food when they are hungry. Fast food is very convenient for everybody when they do not have time to cook. Therefore there has been an explosion of businesses making fast food. However, fast food has led to numerous health and social issues in the society and therefore fast food needs to go. We’re bombarded with messages to eat healthier: cut back on salt, fat and sugar. But restaurants, fast food chains and food manufacturers aren’t making it easy to eat smarter. Fast food causes symptoms such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, early heart disease, diabetes, and bone problems, skin conditions such as heat rash, fungal infections and acne. Fast food affects health and people. Obesity is a very serious matter in the world and it is caused by unhealthy food such as fast food. It is our responsibility to make the right choice for ourselves. Personally, I think fast foods are convenient and a tasty addition to a balanced diet can have serious health and social effects. Everyone should think twice before deciding to eat fast food. People should learn to choose fast food carefully and remember the pleasure of eating good food in good company. Don’t be lazy and pick up fast food on your way home from work. Make the right choice and eat some vegetables.
