AUSTRALIA’S INVOLVEMENT IN THE VIETNAM WAR The Vietnam war was a war fought against the uprise of communism in South-East Asia from 1955 to 9175. The Soviet Union, China and other communist allies supported the North Vietnamese army against the South army who was allied with United States, South Korea, Australia and Thailand.
