Have you ever wonder why William Shakespeare was important to learn in literature class? William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwriter, and an actor is widely consider as the best writer in the English language. Shakespeare has a big impact on the world because he created over 2,500 words and many clichés that are widely use today (Goff). He also inspires many writers during his time and after his death. Shakespeare is important because he shape modern English and contributed many important plays to the theatrical world. Shakespeare live from 1564 and 1616 and during that time he created a ton of words that was mention in his play (Goff). Nearly 10% of his 20,000- vocabulary was new to his audiences (James). Shakespeare was such a smart man because imagine creating over 12,000 words and giving them definition. That is really a hard job to do. 12,000 words became part of the English language between 1500 and 1650 but only half is used today (Goff). Before Shakespeare created plays that were tragedies, he was primarily focusing on comedies and histories. He created some of the best play in the English language like Hamlet, Macbeth, And Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare created one of the best tragedy play to date. One of his famous tragedies, Hamlet, who was a hero but whose fatal flaw is hesitation and because of his flaw problem came along with it. I find most of Shakespeare tragedies so fun and great to read because the plot that Shakespeare created in the plays makes you don’t ever want to stop reading.
