Volleyball is a very popular sport. There are many different levels for players from beginners all the way to the advanced level. Each athlete needs to choose the path they will take in their volleyball career. As a current volleyball player, I believe that club volleyball is more intense and fast-paced than school volleyball.

The atmosphere in a club tournament is incredible and the cheering is deafening. There is always a game going on and tables full of shirts, sweatpants, sweatpants and head-bands are placed all around the arena for players to buy at their own leisure. Most tournaments are so big and have so many teams that they need to be held in a college gymnasium. There are several concession stands within the whole tournament venue. With all the diverse players you become great friends with a lot of people from all around the area. In contrast, school volleyball is not as loud or big. Since school volleyball is open to everyone and the coach does not cut players, then the average skill level can be much lower. Some people haven’t even played volleyball before they get into high school and can still make a place on the team. It basically depends on how good the team is. The competition at the high school level is less intense than club volleyball. With club volleyball, the coaches are looking for a higher skill level and intensity than what the high school coaches are looking for. Club volleyball is typically known
