Taking a retrospective journey to my high-school days, I vividly remember the mixed feelings that I had in choosing a program that would help me shape my career in academics and religious studies. I always made myself clear that I should select a field of study that would give me room to explore, hone my skills, and ultimately shape my ideals. Right from the beginning of my career, I have been involved in pursuing religious studies and was committed to teaching children. I enrolled myself for Bachelor’s degree in Religious studies as my area of specialization in the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Charlotte, NC. This degree has helped me to hone my skill sets in describing, comparing, interpreting, and explaining religion. In addition, my graduation helped me to understand the significance of religion and its impact on people. After completion of my Bachelor’s degree, I pursued a master’s degree in Urban Ministry Studies in Martin University in Indianapolis, IN. Presently I work as a Pediatrics Resident Chaplain at the Indiana University Health Riley Hospital for Children where my responsibilities involve performing the goals of the pastoral care department, and offering religious and spiritual guidance to patients, residents, clients, and staff.
