continues on. Visionary leaders are an essential part to transforming our healthcare organizations

and to deliver outstanding products and services within this progressive environment. Healthcare

leaders, namely those in administrative and management roles, need a wide range of operational,

relational, and analytical skills to effectively carry out their responsibilities. A strong business

Leaders in the healthcare industry have the power to use, or

misuse and even overuse, his or her personal convictions and be overly moralistic in the

treatment of particular groupings of patients. In the end, all medical professionals have a

responsibility and moral obligation to provide treatment.

There is no way to avoid the constant challenges of being responsible for people,

organizations, outcomes, and uncertainties in this environment. Even when one decides to take

on a leadership role, an individual must learn how to lead effectively. Having role models is a

great asset when placed in leadership situations. Leadership role models are the individuals who

are already in a position of authority that one can look up to and aspire to be like. A person can

gain knowledge and learn from role models the skills and qualities they may be lacking and view

them as challenges to motivate themselves. Challenging one’s perspectives and broadening their

management it helps create the environment to believe and follow in the direction the company

is going and what they stand for. By creating a loyalty and trust based work environment it saves

a business from having to hire and train a new individual on things someone once already knew

or were able to handle. Employees are the component and the individuals that create value that

places an organization on a path to success. "Honesty guides good people;

dishonesty destroys treacherous people" (Proverbs 11:3, NLT).

A healthcare leader effectively navigates organizational issues in order to deliver quality

healthcare services while maintaining a harmonious workplace environment. One must

strategically lead within healthcare organization as they undergo changes related to policies,

technologies, cultures, finances, and beyond. Healthcare leaders, namely those in administrative
