The key issue of gun control has been a significant topic as it affects the relative incentive of criminals and law-abiding citizens in gun acquisition. This means any control taken by the federal government or state or local government to regulate through legislation the sale, purchase, safety and use of firearms by individual citizens. Most people could argue out the intention for self-defense vis-a-vis the deterrence of risks involved with possession of a firearm. Ownership of guns should be banned in the US
Foremost, all guns have the potential to be dangerous and should be dealt with precaution. Guns control should therefore be of paramount importance in the USA. Increase in regulation will significantly reduce the level of gun related crimes and violence. In absence of these laws, criminals will easily acquire these guns leading to an increase in crimes. Background checks of mental stability will avert the risk of possession by a mentally unstable citizen. Suicide is an impromptu activity by individuals who have consequently entered depression. A big percentage of suicide by the gun can be prevented if these measures are put in place. Security concerns posed by excessive guns and the ease of obtaining their power suggest that action must be taken immediately if we are to save the lives of others. The United States prides itself on its foundations of freedom, security, and the pursuit of happiness, as these constitute the reasons why people decide to live in this country and pursue their dream of success.
