Introduction
The urge to deliver quality education to the citizens of a country cannot be ignored with the current world. Educations is now being termed as the solution to almost all problems but not limited to. It is through education that a good task force for the future is created. In addition, the life kills acquired through education through mingling with and meeting new students from diverse backgrounds are useful to the students in future life. This has necessitated the urge to have the governments set different education reforms for their country. This essay seeks to look into the various education reforms in the USA (Berry and Adamson).
Similarities
A nation at risk, goals 2000, no child left behind and race to the top are the education reforms found in the USA (Berry and Adamson). Though each one of them was put in place at their different specific time, they are up to serve one purpose: to foster education and improve the education systems in the country. In the Goals 2000, otherwise referred to as Educate America Act, there were a number of goals to be achieved by 2000 as the name suggest(the act was signed into law in March 31, 1994) (Berry and Adamson). To sample a few, the general goals were that all children in America would start school ready to learn, the high school graduation rate will increase to at least 90 percent.
