Introduction Here at Gilda’s Club, our vision is that a people affected by cancer, whether through their own personal experience or that of a family member or friend, have the opportunity to be part of a free cancer support group. As a cancer support community, it is here where we celebrate not only the tears, but the laughter. And out of the laughter came the iconic ten-day festival in support of Gilda Radner and Gilda’s Cub tenth anniversary- LaughFest. Gilda’s LaughFest quickly became one of the nation’s “must attend” festivals, celebrating laughter for the health of it. A festival not only that gives laughs, but features all forms of seriously funny stuff, and a festival that I am so grateful to had be a part of. Strengths Throughout the period of this internship as a Special Events Intern, I was assigned many tasks in many different areas of the festival to be able to fully understand how a non-profit festival works. There are things that I learned about myself along this internship that I did not exceed in as greatly as other areas. One weakness that I found about myself in the beginning of this internship was finding the balance between meeting projects deadlines and doing the individual meetings with the team members. In the beginning I found myself nervous to approach people, so it was difficult to fulfill each meeting with every team member, but as I got more comfortable here at Gilda’s, I started meeting with more people. However, by time I was comfortable to talk to people I was busy with projects so it became difficult to balance the tasks assigned to me and the individual meetings required of
