Game Warden
Game wardens are some of the most powerful leaders in the nations from the early 1865 when the legislature created Fish and oyster commission regulating fishing. The department of game warden was added in 1907. When the state board created a separate entity in 1923, then in 1951 the name Fish and Oyster was dropped to create a new name for Texas park and wildlife Department in 1963. Legislature decided to pass an Act for managing fish and wildlife resources in all Texas counties with all parks and wildlife departments. The court was the only one that could veto the power over departments regulations in many Counties, the Game warden currently have 10 internal divisions today. The training you must encounter are 20 weeks of basic training at Federal Law enforcement agency in Georgia. There you will study a lot of programs that will help you become a successful game warden such as Criminal investigations and wildlife law enforcement. After you have gone through all of those programs then you will make your way to 44 weeks of assigned duty stations. Protect all visitors in the wilderness. Park rangers often work in rural or wildness areas but they can also be spotted in cities and seen helping out with tours and natural walks but it’s very rare. Rangers also help enforcing laws and monitoring park regulations. All entry-level park rangers do not require a law enforcement background. Game wardens on the other had to require a background, game warders are also known as wild officer which allows them to carry guns, just in case they come upon other dangers. But the major differences between a game warden and a Parks ranger is focused on protecting the wildlife and the environment.
