Informative Statements: This shooter was Seung-Hui Cho who killed 32 then later killed himself, he was armed with Glock 19 and a Walther P22, this attack may have been cut short if the campus had allowed students and faculty to carry firearms. Thesis Statement: Firearms should be allowed on college campuses because it would give students and faculty a way to defend themselves if an attacker such as Cho tried to injure or kill them. Take the White House for example, the building is protected from every angle by firearms and there have been few people to make it across the grounds. Then take San Bernardino for example, they had no firearms in the building and the place was attacked and many people lost their live. Body Paragraph 8: Supporting Point Why should college campuses be any different? They contain the country’s future presidents, senators and judges. They are also one of the most vulnerable places because most colleges don’t allow firearms on campus. The most important factor is that many students don’t pay attention to their surroundings so they are put in dangerous situations and they should be able to defend themselves to a certain extent.
