I believe I am the perfect fit for the Fashion Institute of Technology because I have an imperishable interest in the fashion industry. I see in potential everyone,as an artist would a canvas for his muse. Since I am a very desirous person I feel as though the Fashion Institute of Technology will expose me to endless opportunities that will allow me to further exude my eye for creativity. In both junior and secondary high school I always seemed to spot trends that often appeared eclectic and unusual to others, subsequently to find that they would be widely popular several months later. Throughout my youth my passions included drawing, playing in my mother's closets and always had a fascination for fabrics and where they came from. My love for the fashion industry grew into a dream career goal. I'll never forget the first time traveled to Costa Rica and visited a textile mill. I fell love with the many different fabrics and items to choose from, and from then on I was always reading and researching on how to make this a reality for myself.or the first time I tried on a fabric that wasn't the usual coat made (add) Instead, it was my moms fuzzy polyester lapel coat . Needless to say my mom never saw that coat again.I also remember always choosing something that people would either complement or give unfavorable opinions on, only to find that six months later it was a huge trend.This helped me to understand that even if others didn't agree with my likings, didn't mean that I should change for them.attending the fashion Institute of technology Will allow me to one day fulfill my dream of becoming a fashion buyer, traveling to fashion weeks and showrooms to choose products to go into major retailers and indie boutiques alike …show more content…

Majority of my life I spent painting and filling the thousands of pages of sketchbooks, finding many indie artists to channel my emotions when crafting and finding ways to enlighten myself with knowledge of different cultures.taking art-based classes in school was always important as it helped me to grow as a person and understand things from numerous perspectives. Receiving academic good mission for skipping my freshman year of high school and driving straight into upperclassman level of curriculum was definitely a huge milestone in my high school career.joining fashion club in running for president was a very liberating thing for me because in the past I had only been able to give a voice through my art. Being voted in as president gave me a voice to share my passion with others and to help them grow as artists as
