Students Shouldn’t Have the Choice to Go School
Roger Sipher explains how Americans educations are in trouble because of mandatory attendance laws for students that do not wish to be at school. He says that children just don’t want to be at school and this causes no desire to learn which affects the ones that do want to go. Sipher gives six reasons as why to get rid of compulsory attendance these are; school is for people that want to learn but also for any that don’t; grades and elementary school teaches wouldn’t have to pass students who are failing; and saving money. With this being said, now imagine how our future children are going to support themselves if they didn’t have to go to school. He obviously doesn’t think about children’s future. There should be ways to enforce students that aren’t old and mature enough to make a decision as big as not attending school.
We all know that if education systems gave students the choice of not attending school their automatic answer would be no. once we’ve hit college, we don’t want to go in literate and looking dumb because we didn’t attend school. What is being taught in school can be useful for the future. Attending school has become important for students future, it can depend on how they’re going to live.
