Recommended: Why college is the right choice

College is a Hard Decision
According to Owen and Sawhill, “For certain schools, majors, occupations, and individuals, college may not be a smart investment.” I believe these two men are very accurate in this statement. The world is full of people that did not go to college who are making a living just fine. There are laborer work force that do many jobs that require no college at all. Does a garbage man need to go to college to learn how to pick up trash? Of course not, this is a prime example of how it could not be a smart investment to attend college. Now the world does need laborers but it also needs people with college education to be the other part to the work force like teachers for example. Now I of course am in college to gain in education to not only better myself but also learn a certain skill or job. For me, I believe I am here to build a support for my own future so in my case, investing in college is a good choice.
For starters, attending college does not necessarily define your future. It is completely possibly to make a normal and fulfilling life without obtaining a college education. This also is not always the case because if you want to work a certain place or line or work, the job may need someone with a college education. …show more content…

These are people that usually have no factual information to support those thoughts. Of course these thoughts may be correct to some extend but that does not mean college is impossible. There are many colleges that provide help such as tutoring, like Oklahoma State University, for the students who struggle with homework. Then there are grants, scholarships, and finical aid to help students cover the costs of attending college. This explains that even if college is hard and expensive, it means it is for sure not impossible and people should not deter from attending college based on these
