Our America government has three branches which are the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches. The Executive consists the President and anyone who works for him or her. The Legislative consists of Congress. The Judicial consists of the Supreme Court. Knowing this will help me when I vote. It also helps by telling how the government operates.
The President works out treaties or agreements with other nations concerning trade and the aid that the United States gives to needy countries. He or she appoints ambassadors to represent the United States in foreign countries. The President also serves as the Commander in Chief of the armed forces. The American Civil War was a civil war in the United States fought from 1861-1865.
