People may believe that Nick, not Gatsby, was the main hero of the book, but they may be mistaken. Jay Gatsby is the main hero of the book, and it can be found in his kindness, hospitality, and his selflessness. One of Gatsby’s many heroic traits is his kindness. Gatsby showed kindness to many characters throughout the book’s duration. He showed a great amount of kindness to Nick at different times.
