4.0 Strategies to minimize the Negative Impacts of the Event to Singapore
If I were the event managers I would apply the following strategies to minimize the negative impacts of the events:
Orientation
The incoming participants and fans need to undergo an orientation that enlightens them on the country, its traditions and cultures. The information provided should inform their decisions as they interact with the locals. The information can touch on means of transport to be used, dinning and social etiquette. This information can be provided on a brochure so as to reach many people. The tourists can also be enlightened on the things to do and what not to do to keep them safe.
Sensitization

Lussier and Kimball (2013, p. 443) note that special attention should be paid to ethical behaviour, safety, environment and communication of the event. For instance, every service and action should observe high ethical standards, there should be ample security for all participants, there should be stringent measures to safeguard the environment (a waste control system), and all the attendees should be informed of any development during the event.
7.0 Recommendation of Three Risk Control Strategies for Event Management
Based on the potential risks likely to occur in a sports event such the WTA finals, this paper suggests the following recommendations to control the risks from occurring.
1) The event organizers – mainly the WTA – should examine the local and national laws of Singapore as regards to sale and consumption of alcohol intake if is made available in the venue. Thus, the event will require a special license permitting the sale and consumption of alcohol during the event. The fact that there will be teenagers and young adults, the consumption of alcohol should be designated to a timeframe say not beyond 8PM. The event managers should also place additional requirements such as issuance of identifications cards at the venue and hiring of a licensed
