Immigration to the United States
If Russia is so beautiful why are so may people Russian out of there. People all over the world were immigrating to the United States, from places one may not expect. Just as Russia or North Korea, but they did at one point in time. History is great, it repeats it self but so different from now.
The major dates of Russian immigration was a long time period, 1800’s to the early 1900’s to be exact. The amount of people who emigrated from Russia to the United States is 7,550 people. This was only the first wave. The numbers just kept increasing, by the second wave it was more than 10,000 a year. By the time all the waves were finished we had almost 3 million people.
There was an influx of immigrants because of religious problems, people weren’t getting the freedom they wanted and the United States was the perfect place for them. Jewish men, women, and children were being discriminated. That is why they immigrated to the United States. If one imagined being told you can not where that or eat like that, it would be a cruel thing!

Treatments and Opportunities for Immigrants
When immigrants move to new countries they are treated differently no matter whom they were in their country. Everything is different when one moves out of their normal space. It could just be a move from rural to suburban neighborhood. People have different reasons for moving, maybe they did not like the people there or how people acted. The reasons vary but immigrants probably moved because they had a problem and were hoping that America could fix all their problems.

...had been passed. As about two million Russians were to be sent back, many still stayed in the said safety of America. By 1952, homes were remade, causing immigrants to move back, leaving less Russian immigrants in America than before. The fourth and final wave was at any times when Russian Jews longed religious freedom, and wanted to escape government problems. This caused them, to move to the United States to be free.
If one were to compare and contrast the times of immigration from the past to the present, it shows that it is higher in the past than the present. In the past, Russia had a lot more strict rules against government, and religious freedoms. This caused many families to leave the country in hopes of a better future in America. Now in the present, there are no threats of war, or lack of freedom, causing Russians to stay in their home country, unharmed.
