Many people wonder what health is. The answer is the “state of being free from illness or injury” but that is not it. Their is much more to health than not getting injured or sick. You see health is split into 3 main categories, physical, mental/emotional, and social. Let me explain.
Physical health is everything ranging from absence of disease to fitness. Some components of physical health include physical activity (strength, flexibility, and endurance), nutrition and diet (nutrient intake, fluid intake and healthy digestion), Alcohol and drugs (denial or reduced consumption of these substances), medical self-care (addressing minor illness or injury and knowing when necessary to get emergency care), and rest/sleep (periodic rest and relaxation …show more content…

It also relates to your ability to adapt comfortably to different social situations and act appropriately in a variety of settings. Friends play a significant role in promoting your overall health. Adults with strong social support have a reduced risk of many significant health problems, including depression, high blood pressure and unhealthy body mass index (BMI) which is where other health groups can change such as physical health. Like I mentioned earlier all of the health groups tie together. If your social health is low or bad then your physical health may be low or bad which can also affect your mental health along with emotional. Having good social health can boost your immune system too! something you have to be careful of is your health can affect the health of others around you. The best way to keep yourself socially healthy or become socially healthy is the practice your self-care or to learn how to take care of yourself without medical, professional, or assistance or oversight. Also simply know yourself, if you know that you are sometimes mean try to fix that and your social health will improve. Also don't criticize, judge, or blame because less people are going to like you if you are always criticizing judging or blaming which will affect your social health in a negative way. Something else helpful is to regain old friendships and nature relationships with people who are respectful, positive, supportive, and responsible. It Will wear off on you in a good way. Make sure you follow through with plans you've made otherwise people will stop liking you and you will lose social health. Something else that will help you with social health is appreciating yourself along with others, or make sure you don't make it so you think you're better than everyone else.
