Dachshunds are really awesome dogs once you start to research them. They may be hard to train, but once you have trained them, you will have a loyal companion. They can help you hunt or, they can just be an everyday pet. My three subtopics will be about breeding, potty training, and training your dachshund. Dachshunds will try your patience just like the 6th and 7th grade Language Arts class at Evans Christian Academy. One of the hardest thing to do with your dachshund is potty training. The reason for this is because, they dachshund puppies don’t get full control of their bladder until 4-5 months old. After Each meal, nap, or drink, you should take your dog to do its business in his/her designated spot. You should repeat this every day until he/she gets used to it. This can be a difficult task to do every time because you might be working or taking time with your family. But this only takes a few minutes at a time. All you have to do is take your dachshund outside and let it do its business, then once it’s finished you bring it back inside and you can spend the rest of time playing with it or just letting it run around. A sign that your dog has to go to the restroom, is when it starts standing by the door (Potty Training…). Breeding dachshunds is a thing that takes a lot of time, patience, …show more content…
But if they are, once you have taken the time to potty train, train, and maybe even breed them, they will be a very loyal companion. Once you’ve done all this, you can’t just leave the dog alone but you have to spend some time with it, maybe not all, but some. They may be a large responsibility but you will love your dachshund. And if you’re someone who likes to hunt, you can train your dachshund to hunt with you. Dachshunds are amazing dogs and can do a lot of stuff with you as long as they have the right training, and a good

They will play many dog games with children without hurting them. They strive for the love of “their humans.” These dogs could also be great therapy dogs to those they care about. Pit bulls can keep people company and take their minds off whatever is bothering them. This breed also has a face that allows them to smile.
Some dogs are simply stubborn. With these types, it may take extra diligence on your part to succeed in training. Keep your dog leashed, even in house. By having a tether to your dog, you can easily redirect him from doing something he shouldn't without having to always revert to a time-out in the his crate.
There are many different qualities to consider when choosing a dog. Pit Bulls have all the qualities needed to become a great companion. Although, if you treat them wrong when they're growing up there is a good chance they will get out of control. If you raise them right you will have one of the best dogs ever. For example my friend had a Pit Bull that he would hit for no reason and one-day the dog attacked him and hurt him pretty bad. This is a good example of why you should treat your dog right. From my experience raising a Pit Bull I have come to believe they are the best bread of dog. As with any dog you need to raise and treat them right. Naturally they are loyal, smart, strong and courageous.
This short article focuses on the most popular methods of canine training-- the so called leash/collar
I believe Great Danes are most suitable for families, provided that the dog is properly trained from an early age and onwards. The breed relies greatly on human companionship therefore a moderately active family can provide the Dane with the attention and love it deserves. Active people are not suitable to own a Great Dane due to the lack of time they have to devote themselves to a dog that is people-orientated, affectionate and slothful. Furthermore, older people are not suitable owners purely because of the dog’s size, weight and boisterous behaviour that can overwhelm or injure a weak and elderly person.
Guide dogs begin training at just a puppy. The dogs are taught basic things like to sit, stay, wait, down, off, etc. and of course they are taught to be house broken. The social training for the dog is one of the most important of all they will learn. During this training dogs are introduced to sights, smells, sounds, and unusual surfaces. The trainers also keep close attention to their socializing toward dogs, people, and traffic. And this is a basic training for a guide dog.
They are very loyal and protective dogs. They are extremely intelligent and can learn both numerous and various tricks in a short and fast periods of time. Some can be found to be laid back, while others can be more temperamental. These dogs are always looking for something to do and should be put in a home where they can look forward to daily activity, exercise and training. Although these dogs can be mistaken for aggressive and even sometimes dangerous, these dogs will grow to be what they are brought up to be. If you want a loyal, smart, loving companionship these dogs will be there to the
Like humans, dogs need exercise. It is wise to take house-dogs on walks throughout the day. It helps them burn off energy and work their muscles. Dogs are also very social and need interaction with other pets and their humans. Once or twice a week the owners should take their dog to a puppy playground or dog park; this gives them the opportunity to become socialized. Denying these basic elements of a dog's life is one of the worst forms of animal abuse. This is the practice of puppy mills across the country.
As a kid, I fell in love with the idea of getting a puppy for Christmas. Wrapped in a small box with a bow on top sitting under the tree just like the movies and tv shows I had seen. I can remember making a Christmas list of all the things I wanted that year, and every year the same thing that I wanted had said “puppy” with it underlined so that my mother knew which was my favorite on the list. Every year no surprise, I didn’t find a dog. I never understood why I never received one. When the kids at school talked about the few dogs they had at home made me so jealous, but I hoped that one day it would be me to have my own best friend at home.
A common stereotype of “pit bulls are vicious animals” used as an excuse for why parents will not allow their children to go over to a pit bull owning person’s house to play with other children. In recent times the pit bull has received a bad reputation from the media due to dog fighting cases and false stories. During both world wars the American Pit Bull Terrier was used for many military propaganda posters because of its powerful and loyal characteristics as well as held officer positions in the military. Many households, such as my own, find the breed to be the best pets for their families because Pit Bulls are very protective and loving dogs. Even though Pit bulls can have an aggressive behavior if not trained properly, I believe the American
There are many reasons to get a pet. You could choose to get a pet for a companion, or simply to add to your family. Many older folk choose to get a pet after they retire or lose their spouse so they do not feel lonely. Many young couples choose to get a pet before they opt to have children, and many families add a pet to their home for their children. The question is though, what type of pet to get? Do you get a cat, or a dog? Having a dog as a pet over a cat is much more enjoyable and beneficial to your life, specifically because of their behavior, convenience, and loyalty.
A dog or cat can be a wonderful addition to any home. They are both very sweet and loveable pet to have. But these two pets could not be more different from each other in a few respect: the amount of attention that is needed, grooming care, and bathroom usage.
If you have a young dog at home, you should purpose to train it once in a while. However, most people normally shy away when they think of training a dog. Dog training can be a daunting task. You need to exercise patience so that your dog can learn the new tricks you intend it to learn. Unlike human beings who easily grasp ideas, it takes a considerably long time for a dog to successfully learn certain tricks.
Being a dawg is a certain type of person. That person needs to have such a caring and loving heart. Putting the person in need first is the key idea of being a dawg. Especially for the boys, brothers, and teammates, they should be a first priority. A dawg should go far as the nitty gritty for one of them. Doing the nitty gritty means even through the worst circumstance possible, giving that person all the care they need to get through is truly a dawg. He or she will always be there whenever and wherever. You would consider a dawg a part of the family. Even though a dawg can be a non-family related person, they should act pretty close to it. For example, in the movie Toy Story 2, Buzz Lightyear travels across town and also goes through a vent just to try and save Woody. In this movie, it shows that Buzz would do anything for his dawg, Woody. All the obstacles and the life threatening journey he went through to save him is shows how much Woody means to him. Dawgs are truly the people that will through it all, under any circumstance to make sure his or her other dawg is
